Since the beginning of 2019, Israeli forces have killed six Palestinian children. Between March and December 2018, Israeli forces killed at least 183 Palestinian demonstrators in Gaza, including 35 children, 3 paramedics, and 2 journalists. Around 700 Palestinian children are arrested and prosecuted by the Israeli military every year, with 3 out of 4 experiencing physical violence. Israel is the only country in the world that automatically prosecutes children in a military court system. We can pretty much count on two hands the number of US politicians who have consistently spoken out or taken action against these or any other of Israel's ongoing, systemic, and grave human rights violations against Palestinians. So when @ilhanmn asks why, and when she demands change, it's not antisemitism. It's brave leadership from someone fighting for human rights.
